I painted this original painting for a family who lost their daughter while she was serving her mission. At the time, my daughter was serving as well, and my heart just broke for them. I knew there wasn’t much I could do except pray. Painting this was therapeutic for me and I hoped it would bring them joy when they saw it. I removed Hermana Scadlock and her missionary tag for the prints, so theirs would remain one of a kind.
My hope is that you think of your special person when you look at it.
